These fish often dig in the sand or mud for crabs etc. Essentially scavengers! You need to be able to cast your line approx 40-50 yards, or behind the breaking waves if possible. A local tackle shop might be able to advise you on the best sinker to attach to your line, as the sinker does most of the work when casting out. Do a search on You Tube as well.
