scratch the part about the sentience, they are, but they’re stupid creatures to sum it up. Not that that means they should be killed.
Well, I’m Catholic, and I believe what I think of as my God created creatures for our own sustenance. I don’t know if they were only hunting the quail for sport, because quail is a very popular bird for poultry. I’ve eaten it many times myself. I wouldn’t consider quail ’sentient’ either.
Don’t worry, none taken. As a matter of fact I am, but how is that in anyway related to my comment? I find Lewis Black funny, therefore I must be an atheist? I don’t get it.

Actually, anyone who thinks killing sentient creatures is a source of enjoyment, considers it a sport and does it for fun & excitement is pretty much an inconsiderate, insensitive jerkoff. That said, I think he’s in no way putting down hunters, he’s just satirizing QUAIL hunting, which, truth be told, is pretty fucking ridiculous.
